Camp Li-Wa

Camp Li-Wa is in looking forward to another exciting summer of fun in Fairbanks, AK! We have some new surprises in store for this summer as well as your favorite activities from past years. We have special programs for all ages. Our petting farm has been a favorite of our younger campers. The climbing wall, whitewater rafting and dirt-boarding are some of the favorites of our older age groups. Living Water Ranch programs and Wilderness Camp are extremely popular, so sign up early! Most evenings close sitting around a crackling, campfire with laughter, skits, singing and thinking about the truths of God.

 

Discovery Days

Grades K thr 3rd. The best seven hours of the day! Ride a horse. Experience the petting farm. Paddle a canoe. Make really cool crafts. Hear Bible stories. Make new friends. Learn about Jesus and His love! Stay in a cabin. Have a counselor to care for you. Then it's off to your home to tell your family all about it, sleep in your own bed, and come back again for another exciting day! 2nd and 3rd graders have the option of staying overnight on Wednesday. Base Camp

Grades 3rd thr 6th. If you like to keep your feet on the ground, then the archery or rifle range may excite you. For those who enjoy a little more excitement then be sure to check out our Climbing Wall or even try your hand at Dirt Boarding. Our lake entices you to enjoy a relaxing time in the canoes or paddleboat. You can always try your creative energies at the craft house and take home your own creations. Register Online »

Junior High Camp

Grades 6th thr 9th. Develop or improve your skills in canoeing, archery, Riflery, rock wall climbing, dirt-boarding and crafts. Friendships, crazy games and new activities will make your week memorable as you learn to relate these experiences to a life lived for God. Register Online »

Exploration Camp

Grades 4th thr 5th. Designed especially for Grades 4-5, this experience will be one to remember.  While exploring the great out-of-doors you will cook over an open fire, go on amazing hikes and develop your own campsite!  For those kids who love the woods and want to explore a whole new side of Camp Li-Wa, this camp is for you. Expedition Camp

Grades 6th thr 9th. Adventure. What else can we say?  This camp is fast to fill up and for good reason.  White water rafting and canoeing the Chena River are only a few of the many activities you will experience in God’s creation. Wilderness Camp (New 2011)

Entering grades 10th thr 12th Boys. If you went to Expedition camp in years past and want a more extreme camp this is for you. The first ever true wilderness camp for high school boys. You will be backpacking about 20 miles, kayaking from Angle Rocks to Granite Tors all in a week of wilderness camping. Come and learn about Christ in the Alaskan wilderness. As a group of young people you will unite as a team and conquer this adventure. ( This is our first year offering this camp. Camp begins on Monday at 9:00am and ends Friday at 7:00pm. We will be leaving camp Tuesday morning and traveling to our drop point. We will hike from Chena Hot Springs to Angle Rocks. Then we will kayak down and camp for the night. Wednesday we will kayak down to Granite Tors where we will stop and camp. Thursday we will backpack Granite Tors camping on the trail. Friday we will finish the hike and then travel back to camp.

We're looking forward to an exciting summer and need help in our S. A. L. T. Program. Have you made your plans for summer yet? If you have an extra week to give, think about getting involved with our High School S. A. L. T. Program. The S. A. L. T Program is a way for you to get involved for God. It gives you work experience in a Christian camp, helps the camp staff to have more time to spend with the campers and keeps the camp going week to week. Ranch Camp Kids 4th through 9th grades will love our week long summer ranch camps. Learn horsemanship from the ground up. Two hours out of every day is spent in the saddle. There are also ground classes,' crafts, and other exciting camp activities. Each rider will have a chance to decide if they would like to work towards CHA rider certification. This is composed of four discipline specific levels. Earning a cert will ensure you are able to ride at "your level" at other CHA facilities throughout the world. Wild West Days Saddle up pardoner! This day ranch camp is for those who want to experience some of what life was like for a cowboy. You will have a chance to learn horsemanship from our instructors. Try your hand at swinging a rope, driving cattle, or cooking over a camp fire. There will be trail rides, lessons on horse packing, and a chance to spend one night sleeping in an authentic outfitter wall tent. This is your chance to experience the life of a buckaroo! Equestrian Days This day camp is for the horse enthusiast who enjoys the art, and discipline of riding. Equestrian days are a perfect way to hone your skills as a rider. You will learn how to correctly balance yourself and your horse in preparation for schooling figures. Discover some of the methods vets use to determine horses vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration. Master some of the fundamental steps it takes to ride dressage, jumping, or cross country. You may even have a chance to try vaulting, the art of gymnastics on horseback.
